Fahd Khan
Mr Fahd Khan, MD, MRCS (Eng), MCh MIS (Minimally Invasive Surgery), FRCS (Urol), is a Consultant Urological Surgeon based at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Birmingham. His specialist interests lie in EndoUrology, HoLEP, Stone disease, and Men’s Health.
Mr Khan completed his urological training through the Yorkshire rotation and was awarded the prestigious BAUS/WCE EndoUrology Fellowship. As part of this fellowship, he travelled to Guangzhou, China, where he gained advanced training in the minimally invasive surgical management of complex stone disease.
In addition to his sub-specialist interests, Mr Khan has extensive experience in managing both general and malignant urological conditions. He treats patients presenting with a wide range of symptoms, including lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), urinary tract infections (UTIs), testicular lumps and pain, haematuria (blood in the urine), haematospermia (blood in the semen), incontinence, and erectile dysfunction. He also sees asymptomatic patients, such as men concerned about prostate cancer and seeking prostate health checks.
Mr Khan is committed to delivering personalised, patient-centred care. He takes a holistic approach to diagnosis and treatment. He believes in shared decision-making that integrates his clinical expertise with the individual values and preferences of his patients.
An active contributor to academic urology, Mr Khan currently holds the post of Honorary Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Birmingham. He has published extensively in international journals and has authored three book chapters. He has presented more than 50 abstracts at major national and international conferences, including those hosted by the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS), Royal Society of Medicine (RSM), American Urological Association (AUA), European Association of Urology (EAU), and the World Congress of Endourology (WCE).
Outside of his clinical work, Mr Khan is passionate about education and regularly teaches medical students, doctors, and allied health professionals. He regularly teaches national courses for urology trainees and is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons.
